All right, welcome to the next edition of Myth Persona, I’m your host, Mythical Personality and today I’ll be discussing some of the upcoming hip hop album release dates and what to expect for 2017.

On January 13th, 2017, Run The Jewels will be releasing their latest album, the highly anticipated “Run The Jewels 3.” Personally, I’m very excited about this one! If the singles they’ve released this fall and winter are any indication of the album’s overall content and sound, this is going to be one of the best hip hop albums of the new year! And what a great way to begin the first month!
According to Killer Mike, this is going to be relatively short album. We can expect 10-12 tracks to be on this, because attention spans are short nowadays and I quote: “People got shit to do.” Now, Killer Mike is being very secretive about who’s going to feature on this project, but I have no doubt that whoever it is, whether it’s a big name artist or not, it’s going to be a big deal. And personally, I think it is going to be a big artist. I suspect this is why he’s keeping it a secret, building up suspense for something truly great!
In my opinion, this is the number one album to look out for next month! Again, January 13th is the date to look out for! And be sure to check out Run The Jewels’ latest single, “Legend Has It.” I’ll put the link in the description for you.

Alright, and second on the list is Fat Joe & Remy Ma, with their upcoming album, “Plata O Plomo,” which is Spanish for “Silver or lead” set to be released on February 10th. Throughout this past year the duo has released hit after hit, making their upcoming album highly anticipated. I, for one, think this will be a “can’t miss” for 2017. The release date was just announced yesterday: Again, that’s February 10th. Don’t miss it!
Now, they’ve just released the track list via Vibe.com today, and let me be the first to tell you, this album looks very promising. This will be a 12-track album. Features include French Montana, (No surprises there) Ty Dollar $ign, and Kent Jones, among others. The album was produced by Cool and Dre and you can find the full track list on Vibe, (the link is in the description). http://www.vibe.com/2016/12/fat-joe-remy-ma-unveil-plata-o-plomo/

In related news, School Boy Q has officially announced that he will be releasing a new album in 2017 as well, though the official release date has yet to be revealed.

South African rapper, AKA has announced via twitter that he will also be releasing an album in 2017, with no official release date as of yet.

Big Sean will be releasing an album, titled “I Decided” on February 3rd.

And Chief Keef is releasing his new album, appropriately named Two Zero One Seven on New Years Day.

Wyclef Jean will also be releasing his latest project on January 27th, titled J’Ouvert, which is French for Dawn or Daybreak, after the Caribbean street party of the same name, held during Carnival.

Well, that’s all for today. I will be adding updates as more hip hop album release dates are announced. Let me know in the comment section if you’d like me to go into more detail in regards to any of the albums I’ve mentioned in this video or if there are any albums, I’ve neglected to mention that you are excited about.
As always, thanks for watching! And please be sure to like and subscribe for more hip hop content! Until next time, I’m your host, Mythical Personality! Happy holidays and have a Happy New Year!
